Acknowledgement, compensation or
Gratuity whatever for them up to

any pecuniary reward that I lay the statement of these Services before you
on the present occasion,
but as the Colony of Hongkong
is prospering in a
high degree and
at the Naval and Military officers
employed during the war with
China on Separate Commands, at
the same time as myself, obtained
honors
